 A special Map Shop has been set up at the Iðnú Bookstore at Brautarholt 8 in Reykjavík, where customers can browse the multitude of maps offered by Ferðakort. All of the company’s new maps, as well as older maps published by the National Land Survey of Iceland, can be purchased either folded or flat. The store is open weekdays from 9-17 except Fridays when it closes at 16. Welcome.

Ferðakort is a new brand name founded on a long-standing tradition of cartography and map publishing. At the beginning of the year Iðnmennt ses, which owns and operates Iðnú Publishing and Iðnú Bookstore at Brautarholt 8 in Reykjavík, purchased the National Land Survey of Iceland’s digital map database along with its stock of published maps.
After decades of providing map-publishing services, the Survey has turned over this field of operations to the private sector. Ferðakort focuses on producing quality maps, map books and map CDs. All of the company’s products, as well as maps previously released by the National Land Survey, are available at the map shop at Brautarholt 8 near the Hlemmur Bus Terminal.
